As someone who has faithfully served in the Canadian Forces Reserves since 1980, and has dedicated herself to duty and in volunteer service, it only seemed fitting that Warrant Officer Patricia MacWilliams be recognized for her efforts.
WO MacWilliams attended the Veterans’ Week Opening Ceremony in Ottawa and was one of only a handful of CF members invited to the prestigious event in Canada’s Senate Chamber on Nov. 4.
“It was a very nice event,” she said. “They seated us in the middle of the chamber, near the front. Both the Speaker of the Senate and the Speaker of the House were present; it was quite a beautiful programme.”
